Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet.
In 2018 the fun loving man beside me fell ill. He started dragging his right leg and was unable to go up stairs without tripping and eating the stairs. Soon other things started happening. After 5 months of doctors visits and tests, he was diagnosed with MS. He was started on treatment right away and thankfully he is able to walk properly again and go up stairs but he still struggles with daily pain, weakness, sleepless nights, spasms, memory loss, change of sight and sometimes worst of all, mental health issues.
I am participating in MS Walk for him and every other person dealing with this unpredictable illness.
When you make a donation to my fundraising, you are helping continue the incredible work being done to figure out why people get MS, better treatments and hopefully one day a cure!
Thank you for supporting our MS Walk community. We wouldn’t be where we are today without your support.
