In a world where we seem to no longer be phased by the news of an ailing disease, where it seems so common that there is always someone we know and love that is affected… it is up to us to keep the hope alive. The simplest of donations make the greatest of difference.
The signs and symptoms of MS can seem invisible to other people, those who are suffering can be going through:
* chronic fatigue (not the kind when you miss your morning coffee)
* burning, numbness and pins and needles (not the kind when you fall asleep on your arm)
* loss of motor skills, memory and thinking problems (not just forgetting to lock your car)
This is just the bare minimum, the list goes on, but with some of those diagnosed with MS, you wouldn’t even know this is what they are constantly going through.
The motivation behind this very fundraising group is my girlfriend, Danielle Brigantino. Who is an inspiration to more people than she would ever realize. I’m fortunate enough to say that about her family and certainly not least her entire group of friends, enter Hollywood (a group of girls who have been friends since highschool) through the support they offer every day.
Which is why I would love and appreciate if we were all to rally together.
Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world and, on average, 11 Canadians are diagnosed with this unpredictable disease every day. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet, for the millions of you, there is a cure for your momentary fatigue or aching hunger, for MS…there is no cure, not yet anyways – but your donation can help achieve that.
