Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world and, on average, 11 Canadians are diagnosed with this unpredictable disease every day. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet.
Our team captain (Ann) was diagnosed with Relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis in 2008. You can read a bit about her story on her personal page. We’re participating in MS Walk because we want to support our friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers who are affected by MS.
Each person with MS experiences the disease differently and no two cases are exactly the same. Symptoms may include optic neuritis, dizziness/vertigo, bladder and bowel disfunction, depression, fatigue, walking difficulties, pain, spasticity, heat/cold intolerance, weakness, difficulty speaking, difficulty swallowing and the list goes on...
If you would like to join us, click on "join team" to register! The MS Walk is virtual this year however we will stay connected through social media using the hashtag #mswalkcameronsclan
