In 2018 our lives got turned upside down. Everyday functions like walking suddenly became a struggle for Todd. After 5 months of tests and doctors visits, we got the diagnosis. MS. What is this? We didn't really know what this meant then. We still don't know what this means. There are so many unknowns with this disease. Todd is plagued with worry and stress of whether he will continue to be able to work and provide for his family. He can count on his 2 hands the number of nights since 2018 that he has had a full night of sleep. He has pain, weakness, mobility issues, etc. that move throughout the body daily making it impossible to "get used" to living with it. He often forgets things told him the day before. Todd's mental health has also struggled, often expressing low self worth. His illness has greatly affected his relationships at work and home. The kids ask why Dad never goes with us places or does things with us. They know he has an illness but they don't understand it yet.

Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet. Your donation to our fundraising efforts for MS Walk will go to research to find the cause, better treatments, and ultimately a cure for MS.

From our family to yours, thank you in advance in joining the fight to end MS.
