Walk a Myelin Ryan's Shoes
Canadians have one of the highest rates of MS in the world and, on average, 11 Canadians are diagnosed with this unpredictable disease every day. We don’t know what causes MS, and we don’t have a cure. Yet.
As a registered nurse, the high prevalence of MS in Canada has always ‘been on my radar’. But now, having a fiancé with MS, it quite literally hits home. Ryan was formally diagnosed in 2017, but doctors believe he has likely had MS since 2013. He battles the ups and downs and unpredictability of MS like a warrior and I am so proud of his strength. Along with Ryan and my four year old son Spencer, I am participating in the MS Walk this year with the hope that a cure is just on the horizon. I would give anything for as much time with Ryan as I can get in this life, and that wish starts here.
Join our team as we challenge MS and help empower more people affected by the disease to live their best lives. If you are unable to join us at MS Walk, please consider donating to our team. Your donation will help continue to fund leading-edge research and support programs that improve the quality of life for people affected by MS.
