Why I’m walking to end MS
I walk for my dad and many others who have been fighting the symptoms for years; we walk to support MS research in hope of one day finding a cure.
Canada has the highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world, and I need your help to eliminate this statistic.
Your donation will fund research to find the cause, better treatments, and ultimately a cure for MS. This is how your donation is going to end Canada’s disease: In February of 2018, Health Canada FINALLY approved OCREVUS™ (generic name, ocrelizumab). If you haven't followed treatment options for MS, you may wonder why this is such a wondrous event. While there are numerous treatment options for other forms of MS, this is THE FIRST that has been approved to treat Primary Progressive MS - the form my dad is diagnosed with! (So hopefully he is one of those for whom the medication is effective. It is advertised to slow the progression of symptoms, although not to reverse them).
Please make a secure donation online through my personal link below, or a contribution to me in person, and together we can make a huge impact on lives of Canadians affected by this disease by funding research for new treatments and ultimately a cure.
Thank you for your support
