Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this email finds you in great spirits and enjoying your day.
September is the month when Myeloma Canada launches it's 'Walk the Walk' and 'Make Myeloma Matter!' fundraising campaign. This years fundraising goal is to raise $550,000. Myeloma Canada is the only non-profit organization where the bulk of the funds directly goes to research and clinical trials administration. Another program at the top of the priority list is advocating for accelerated access to much needed chemo therapies. Given myeloma patients are living for a longer time, it is paramount to have new treatments readily available for the patient when needed. This Sunday, September 22nd, I will tie up my running shoes to 'walk-the-walk' at the Mississauga Myeloma March. My goal is to raise $1,000 dollars with no amount being too little. To make a donation click on the Mississauga Myeloma March. Myeloma Canada will issue a tax receipt for donations greater than $20.00.
Please go to myelomacanada.ca or myelomamarch.ca. click on the DONATE button and type in my name. If you wish to mail in your donation: make your check(s) payable to Myeloma Canada. Very important: please write your name and Multiple Myeloma March in the memo field. Mail it to 1255 TransCanada swy, suite 160, Dorval, QC, H9P 2V4.
I am proud to say I have surpassed the seven year mark this past July 2019. I do find the journey is getting tougher both physically and mentally. Enduring the constant side effects with a smile on your face is not as easy at it used to be.
Believe me, Your donation will make a big impact on improving the lives of all myeloma patients living in Canada.
Thank you in advance for your generosity; your support will 'make myeloma matter!'
Best and blessings,
Chair, Halton-Peel Myeloma Support Group
