Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this email finds you in great spirits and living your life to the fullest.
I am proud to say I have surpassed the eight year mark this past July 2020. The myeloma journey is becoming more challenging both physically and mentally. Doing my best to rest more, get help with household management and adhering to taking my pills on time.
My current treatment is a phase one clinical trial where I receive a three drug regimen. The the new drug is called Belantamab. The research is to determine the right dose for the patient. We have to travel to London and we stay in a hotel as it usually is a two day event. I have gone through seven months of treatment. The positive is the new infusion has lowered the M-protein substantially. The negative is a side effect where my eye sight has become blurry. If it worsens, I will have to be withdrawn from the trial, too risky. I am not the only one who has experience this set back.
As you can RESEARCH IS VERY IMPORTANT and so is your DONATION. Thank you in advance for your generosity; your support will 'make myeloma matter!'
Best and blessings,
I'm at 0 km of 1 km.
