I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating with my family in the Multiple Myeloma March on October 20th.
Every year several thousand Canadians are diagnosed with myeloma, yet it remains a relatively unknown cancer. This terrible disease has hit my family twice. First my grandfather and now my brother.
In late January my brother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells found in bone marrow. He has responded very well to treatments thus far and we remain hopeful that a stem cell transplant later this fall will put his cancer into remission for an extended period. The cause or causes of myeloma remain unknown. Although there is yet no cure, myeloma is treatable and the overall outlook for patients is improving steadily.
By making a donation, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
