On December 6th 2018 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma at the age of 34. At the time I'd never heard of this type of Cancer and my life drastically changed overnight. I have since had 17 weeks of chemotherapy and had a stem cell transplant and am now on maintenance medication. Multiple Myeloma is incurable at this time and the maintenance medication is to keep the Multiple Myeloma in check and I will be taking it for the rest of my life or until it stops working. My biggest hope is that a cure will be found soon so that I can live my life cancer free.
That is why I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March.
By making a donation to me, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients. As a stem cell transplant recipient, I've already benefited from the research that has already been done. In participating and fundraising for this march, I am literally walking for my life.
Please make a donation today and help me to reach my fundraising goal!
