When we found out in late 2016 that Joan had cancer we had never heard of Mutiple Myeloma. When I googled it, "Myeloma Canada" provided a lot of valuable information. A few weeks ago I read about the series of Myeloma Marches that were being held across Canada. I felt I needed to give someting back and this MYELOMA MARCH helps me to do it.
Joan is now in her third year with Muliple Myeloma. After some difficult months, she is doing relatively well. While the cancer is still there, it is stable and her new treatment has few side effects. We thank God for looking after her. The Cancer Cllinic in Surrey as well as Myeloma Canada have done a wonderful job.
SO .....I took the challenge and entered a team. It is called THE HAPPY GANG. My team is growing but can use many more.If you feel up to a shorT 5k walk around Burnaby Lake on Oct. 12, please register for THE HAPPY GANG. JOAN HOPES TO BE THERE. You can also make a donation to Myeloma Canada.
