I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Multiple Myeloma March. As you may or may not know, my wife Tanya was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (blood cancer) in May after feeling very run down ahead of our Disney cruise and having rib pain. This is a common blood cancer with no cure for a 70 year old. It is however very rare for an otherwise healthy 37 year old with no history of this. Tanya immediately started chemo under great care at Southlake and fortunately has been feeling much better with a great response so far. She is now gearing up for a stem cell transplant the week after this walk at Princess Margaret to hopefully get her into a long remission. The next 2 months in particular and most of the next year after this walk will be hard for her and the kids but she is being very positive. Tanya is a special person with an amazing network of friends, family and colleagues that have really been there for her and us and I could not be more thankful - you know who you are!
By making a donation to me, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients like Tanya.
