MJC 4 Ever!
Matt Chevalier was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in October of last year along with Cardiac amyloidosis. He passed of a heart attack on November 10th, 2019. Matt and I participated in the Canadian Beer run at Ontario Place the past 4 years and so we have decided to organize a run this year in his honour. We will be running together on Saturday, September 12th, 2020. For those that can make it to Bronte Provincial Park, we will be run/walking in waves, starting at 10:30 am. For those that cannot make it to Bronte Park but will be participating elsewhere, please let us know and we will connect you in for a beer toast via social media. See specifics for race and donations below.
By making a donation to our team, you are helping to fund clinical research and to support advocacy for accelerated access to game-changing therapies for Canadian myeloma patients.
Race details: Saturday, September 12th, 2020, first wave of walkers will be at 10:30 am
Bronte Provincial Park, 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville, ON
There is lots of parking, washrooms and 5 km loop. We will give more specific directions on where we will meet closer to race day.
*Please note there is a $18 fee per car to enter the park, so please car pool where possible
T-shirts: if we do not get one to you before the race we will be handing them out there.
Stick around after you finish to toast our Matt!
