Make Your Vote Count on Behalf of Animals

Name: Make Your Vote Count on Behalf of Animals

As animal advocates, we have an obligation to ensure that our elected officials consistently vote in favor of animal-friendly measures.

The U.S. House of Representatives is currently considering legislation that covers a wide array of animal-related issues, including ending cosmetics testing on animals and encouraging the EPA to fund non-animal methods of chemical safety testing.

Before you go to the voting booth on Tuesday, November 6, remind your elected officials that their stance on animal issues will determine whether or not they get your support.

Please give your support to legislation that will promote animal welfare

Dear [Decision Maker],

On Tuesday, November 6, I will join with millions of other Americans in casting my vote for the candidates whom I feel will best represent my interests in Congress. For me, those interests include the well-being of animals.

As one of your constituents, I urge you to cast your vote in favor of legislation that serves the best interest of our fellow creatures. Right now, pending legislation in the House covers a wide array of these issues--including ending the use of animals for cosmetics testing, increasing EPA funding for non-animal chemical safety testing, banning the cruel practice of horse "soring" and strengthening animal cruelty laws.

If you have already shown your support for the animals, through introducing, co-sponsoring or voting in favor of animal-friendly legislation, I thank you. If you have not, I urge you to use your unique position of power to effect positive change for animals in the future.

Sincerely,
