Page by Page: Drum Leaf Binding with Carol Todaro
This elegant binding allows you to build a book from a stack of folded sheets, or folios, and a bit of glue. Books will be finished with a simple folded cover. The session includes examples of imagery suitable for this binding as well as suggestions for using found materials to make books.
About the Instructor:
Carol Todaro’s artists’ books and prints have been collected by the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the Bibliothèque nationale de France, and the Jaffe Collection at Florida Atlantic University, among other public institutions. Recent exhibitions include Spheres of Meaning, Frost Art Museum (group); All Along, Under the Bridge Art Space, and Bell, Book, and Candle, University of Miami Wynwood Art Gallery, both solo exhibitions. In 2018 she delivered the annual Book Arts lecture for the NMWA. She lives in Miami and teaches at New World School of the Arts and the University of Miami.
