Elected to The National WWII Museum's Board of Trustees in 2002, Governor Pete Wilson has been a champion for the institution. World War II was a defining time in his young life as America was transformed by the united effort of its people. Wilson's service as Board chairman from 2006–2009 ushered in a period of growth following devastating community impacts from Hurricane Katrina, and his tireless leadership as capital campaign chairman propelled the institution to new heights.

Your gift will help dedicate an 80-foot flagpole in the heart of the Museum's campus in honor of Pete, who has been one of the Museum's strongest advocates for over a decade. His leadership on the Museum's Board of Trustees has been—and continues to be—instrumental in helping to advance the Museum's essential mission of telling the American experience in the war that changed to the world.
