Masters of the Air is a story of life in wartime England, in bombed-out London, and in the rustic hamlets these brash young Americans completely transformed. In East Anglia, airmen fell in love with British girls they met in the local pubs or at Glenn Miller concerts on base. Over 45,000 American servicemen took English brides and brought them home after the war.

Our tour takes us to some of the most storied towns in England, among them Cambridge, Norwich, and Bury St. Edmunds—a hidden gem with a lively shops and pubs, a towering Cathedral, and an ancient abbey, whose gardens are among the most beautiful in England.  Guests will also experience the WWII airfields, transformed and restored as living history by dedicated locals, some of whom were young school children when the American Bomber Boys landed near their homes and on their farm fields.
