Support the Schomburg Center and Sister to Sister: One in the Spirit!

The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem, NY is one of the world's leading research facilities devoted to the collection and preservation of materials on the global African and African-Diasporan experiences. The Center also provides free access to its wide-ranging noncirculating collections and sponsors community programs that illuminate and illustrate the richness of Black history and culture.

The Schomburg Society is made up of committed men and women who are passionate about our mission to preserve the rich history and tell the stirring story of the people of African descent.

We are now thrilled to offer a joint membership with Sister to Sister: One in the Spirit. With a focus on spirituality, health, relationships, career and economic development, this organization helps to create a dynamic shift in the mindset and behavior of women of color in Harlem, the greater New York community, as well as throughout the country and the entirety of African Diaspora.

Any current members of Sister to Sister are eligible to become Schomburg Sisters, and receive special benefits for this joint membership group.

The Library does not rent or sell its donor mailing lists, but sometimes we exchange names and postal addresses with other nonprofit organizations whose information we believe may be of interest to our members. Exchanging our list with other reputable charitable organizations is the most cost effective way to find new supporters. We hope you agree. The option is yours.
