Event FAQs:

What is the Friends for Life! Walk?

The Friends for Life! Walk™ is a major fundraiser for the Ontario SPCA and its Affiliates. By lacing up and collecting pledges for animals in your community, you’re supporting the protection and care of animals in need.

Where is the Friends for Life! Walk?

There are 12 walks taking place across the province. Check out our walk locations for an event near you.

Who can participate in the event?

Anyone can participate and fundraise for the animals. Kids, adults, families, school teams, corporate teams, friends and neighbours are all welcome. Feel free to bring your furry friend, as long as it’s on a leash, but you do not need to bring a dog to participate! Choose a location and register today to get started!

When is the Friends for Life! Walk?

The walk takes place on the weekend of September 22nd & 23rd 2018. Depending on your walk location, it will be hosted on either the Saturday or Sunday of this weekend. Please check your local Walk Locations for date and details.

Do I have to pay to participate?

Yes, the cost to register for the walk is $20. The registration fee covers the cost of your walk shirt, lunch and other event-day activities. Children (under the age of 18) and FFLW Student Ambassador participants are free to attend.

I can't participate on the day of the walk in my community. Can I still participate?

You are still welcome to be a walk participant! Sign up as a virtual walker to participate on any day in September. Virtual walkers receive a registration kit in the mail, to use for your own personal walk. Have friends and family join you and send us a photo or submit a photo on our Gallery Wall!

How long is the walk?

The length of the walk varies by each location. Please visit local walk page for more details.
