Welcome to My Personal Page
Dr. Sue Dojeiji
I’m so honored and excited to represent The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre (TOHRC), and to showcase the work that we do to support the patients that we serve in our region.
As this is it's 20 year anniversay, I'm raising funds for The Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer Association (TRCVA) Patient Fund. My husband and I have supported this fund for a number of years. This year being a special milestone, I wanted to do something special to showcase and support this essential fund for our patient population - persons with neurological and musculoskeletal disability.
Some of our patients are fortunate to have funding from various agencies like work and car insurance companies, but many of the patients that we serve at TOHRC don’t have access to funding beyond basic disability and social assistance. Often, regional and provincial funding agencies don’t cover a lot of the basics of life; our TRCVA Patient Fund does.
This fund is critical in ensuring our patients have access to those essentials that enhance function and quality of life. More importantly, it's about dignity: the dignity to live life with less pain, less risk of injury, and without the need to ask for help from friends, family or strangers.
I’m looking forward to the fundraising ahead and enjoying learning Latin ballroom dance from some exceptional professional ballroon dance teachers at the Arthur Murray Dance Academy. I can't wait to dance with the other dancing doctors. I know that we're going to put on a really entertaining show for our family, friends, colleagues, and community partners. I’m usually a bit intense and serious at work, but on the dancefloor, I’m hoping to transform that intensity into some seriously fun competition. The Medicine Ball trophy is at stake after all!
Thanks very much for your support. See you on the dance floor! Vamos a bailar! Sue
Help me win the Medicine Ball and make a donation in support of The Ottawa Hospital!
