Nine years ago, I received a flyer in the mail from Pasadena Humane Society about this thing called the "Wiggle Waggle Walk" and decided to participate in it to honor our dog, Ferris, who had passed away unexpectedly just weeks prior. The event brought out thousands of people and their pups, all in support of this incredible organization that does so much for animals in need. We walked a shelter dog to support adoption awareness, and ended up adopting that dog, who we named Seamus.
A couple of years later, while at the shelter getting a tour to see all the work they were doing to expand and improve the facility with the funds received from these events, we met a homeless puppy who was found at a nearby park and brought in to the shelter. We immediately fell in love with that puppy (we named her Marlowe) who also fell in love with Seamus, and she's been in our family ever since.
This year, Pasadena Humane Society is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Wiggle Waggle Walk and I am so excited to share in the celebration! PHS provides compassionate animal care and control to a dozen surrounding cities, and is host to a variety of events to promote animal adoption and education within these communities. All of these efforts are made possbile thanks to the tax-deductible financial contributions people like you donate to them. Every contribution matters, even if that contribution is the cost of a cup of coffee. It all adds up. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these animals.
Thank you for helping me support Pasadena Humane Society!
