Every Michigander should be proud of GM's dramatic turnaround.
But that doesn’t mean GM workers, drivers and shareholders should be underwriting GM’s membership to a controversial lobbying group like the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).
It’s time for GM to do the right thing. Click here to tell GM to cut ties with ALEC.

Tell GM: Dump ALEC!
Dear General Motors -
We, the undersigned, call on GM to do the right thing and immediately cut ties with the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). This controversial corporate lobbying group is responsible for pushing 'Stand Your Ground' gun laws and voter suppression legislation in state legislatures across the nation. While we support the working men and women who are driving GM's dramatic turnaround, we do not believe GM workers, drivers, and shareholders should be underwriting your membership to a controversial corporate lobbying group like ALEC. We strongly urge you to join corporations like McDonald's, Coca-Cola, and Kraft in cutting ties with ALEC. It's time for GM to focus on what you do best - building great cars and trucks.
