Why ride in Parkinson’s Revolution?

Joining Parkinson’s Revolution helps you do good and is good for you! Every dollar raised supports the Parkinson’s Foundation mission to make life better for people affected by Parkinson’s disease (PD). At Revolution rides across the country, we’re fighting Parkinson’s and celebrating movement — proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms — and we’re doing it together.

Funds raised through Revolution support the Parkinson’s Foundation mission by:

  • Delivering quality care to nearly 200,000 people living with Parkinson’s
  • Funding cutting-edge research aimed at better treatment, while advancing us towards a cure
  • Providing free resources and local services for people living with Parkinson’s and their families

Since 2020, 5,000 riders have clipped in and geared up for Revolution events across the country and raised nearly $2 million to improve care and advance research toward a cure.

What is Parkinson’s Revolution?

Parkinson’s Revolution is an indoor cycling event that combines passion, determination and community to generate awareness and advance our mission toward a cure. Parkinson’s Revolution riders raise funds while participating in high-intensity, high-energy indoor cycling class. The event includes pre-class activities like a Parkinson’s disease education table, team photo booth; during class there are in-studio mission moments and opening ceremony; and a post-class closing ceremony with a toast and fundraising celebration. Parkinson’s Revolution is open to participants of all ages and fitness abilities.

Riders can also opt to ride virtually – joining a digital opening ceremony and riding from the comfort of their own homes. Parkinson’s Revolution will happen in 24 locations across the country on February 22, 2025.

Who Will You Ride For?

With nearly one million Americans and 10 million people worldwide living with Parkinson’s, the Parkinson’s Foundation makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. No matter why you’re riding – whether it’s for your mother, grandfather, friend or simply because you want to make a difference in the world – Revolution lets you honor your why – bring your friends and family to ride together and celebrate the power of movement!

Meet the People Who Are Moving Us Toward a Cure

Thanks to the passionate people who help us raise funds, we make life better for people with Parkinson’s disease together. The strength and success of our community fundraisers translated to expansions in programs and resources that will keep the entire PD community connected and empowered this year and beyond.

Check out the Moving Toward A Parkinson’s Cure newsletter, where we celebrate the supporters who help us make life better for people with Parkinson’s disease – and inspire us to do more.

Whether you take part on a team or join as an individual, you’ll get a chance to ride with hundreds of supporters who share a common goal — to fight Parkinson’s disease.

Debbie-Lucchesi-story“I work to inspire others by participating three years in a row in Parkinson’s Revolution with my team Debbie’s Dynamos. I ride and fundraise for Parkinson’s Revolution because it is a wonderful event. We have fun, but more than anything, the funds we raise make such a difference to me and the many who live with Parkinson's every day. This event is special, and everyone who rides is the type of people who helps change lives, lift people up and make the world a better place.“

Kayla_Giese“Ride day arrived and I was eager to participate and maybe connect with other people who were indirectly affected by Parkinson’s in the way that I was. As I approached the check-in table, I was greeted with welcoming smiles from the lead volunteer and Parkinson’s Foundation staff who hyped me up for being the top fundraiser! I was so excited. Once the event was over, Foundation staff asked if I would be interested in volunteering and almost four years later… I’m still here!”

Allie-MTAC“Part of my goal is pushing for a cure for Parkinson’s and making sure people are aware of it, but the other part is finding people who look like me. The Parkinson’s Revolution ride reminded me I have a long road ahead but right now, I’m fighting and feeling great.”
