I'm running for us.
In 2014, my mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. The news was devastating, but as my mom’s health continues to decline, there’s pain in each progression.
I am running for the Parkinson’s Foundation in protest to a disease that has taken my mom’s mobility. My ability to run 26.2 miles is a gift and I hope that I can use this exercise to raise money and awareness. We all have the opportunity to use our gifts, voices and privileges for good. I hope to leverage my position as a caregiver, daughter and friend to fight for the best possible care and treatments for my mom.
If everyone reading this gives just $5, I know that I will reach my goal in no time! Thank you so much for your support and I am so grateful for your words of encouragement along the way.
I’m working hard for the big day and I hope to see you on Marathon Sunday, November 3rd!
