This November, I will be running my second NYC Marathon to raise money for the Parkinson’s Foundation, a foundation working to improve care and advancing research towards a cure for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
In May of 2021, after a long battle, I watched my beloved Papa, a wonderful father, grandfather and great grandfather, lose his fight to this horrible disease.
Papa, thank you for reminding me to appreciate the little joys of life, including dessert after every meal, a good game of scrabble, and morning walks to feed the neighborhood birds (and squirrels). This one’s for you!
