Running for My Mom: NYC Marathon for Parkinson's Research
In December 2022, my world changed when my mom was diagnosed with atypical Parkinson’s. Watching her battle this disease has been one of the hardest experiences of my life. Parkinson's has affected her ability to move, her independence, and at times, her spirit. But it hasn’t touched her strength, and it certainly hasn’t diminished the love and determination I have to help her and others like her.
That’s why this year, I’m running the New York City Marathon—to honor my mom’s fight and to raise critical funds for Parkinson’s research. Atypical Parkinson’s is rare, and treatments are limited. But I believe in the power of research and the possibility of a future where families don’t have to endure what we’re going through.
Why This Matters Parkinson’s isn’t just a diagnosis—it’s a daily battle. For my mom, it has meant adjusting to a new way of life while holding on to hope. Research is the key to better treatments and, one day, a cure. The funds raised from this marathon will go directly toward accelerating research for Parkinson’s and atypical Parkinson’s, offering hope to families like mine.
How You Can Help This marathon is more than just 26.2 miles; it’s a chance to fight for my mom and all those affected by this devastating disease. My goal is to raise $3750 by race day, and your support means everything. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to better treatments and, one day, a cure.
Donate Now Please consider making a donation to my fundraising campaign. Your contribution will not only fuel me on race day but also bring hope and support to families battling Parkinson’s.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting this cause. Let’s cross the finish line together—for my mom, and for a future without Parkinson’s.
