I'm ready to run.
I'm running to raise funds and awareness with the Parkinson's Champions. I'm challenging myself to run the marathon to support the Parkinson’s Foundation.
This is especially important to me because my cherished mother, Madame Nadra Ibrahim Ebeid, died in January 2023 after battling this illness for many years. I want to help other people who are also suffering because I personally witnessed her agony. Being a fighter, my mother refused to let the illness break her spirit. The least I can do to honor her and her memory and show how much she cared for us to the end is to participate in this race. Let's all get together to do what we can to assist others.
The Parkinson's Foundation makes life better for people living with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. Studies show that 2.5 hours of weekly exercise along with medication, can significantly improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson's. We run and will continue to run for people with Parkinson's because this disease not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Every dollar counts, thank you for your support!
