A different kind of run.
You all know I love to run, and you know I love Disneyland. But this race is different and means quite a lot more to me. In 2017 my father was diagnosed with Parkinson's. Now my dad is awesome, and he is tackling PD with the same tenacity, curiosity, and positivity that he brings to every challenge. But Parkinson's is quite a challenge, unlike anything he and my mom have had to face before.
I'm both honored and excited to be able to dedicate this run to raising awareness and funds for Parkinson's research, care, and resources as well as to honor the spirit both my dad as a "PWP" - Person with Parkinson's as he calls it - and my mom as his tireless supporter are bringing to the fight. I ask for you to join me in supporting them and contributing to a cause that affects millions of people around the world.
About the Parkinson's Foundation:
The Parkinson's Foundation makes life better for people living with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. Studies show that 2.5 hours of weekly exercise along with medication can significantly improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson's. We run and will continue to run for people with Parkinson's because this disease is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Every dollar counts -- thank you for your support!
