I'm running for my Dad!! It has always been a dream of mine to someday run the NYC Marathon. I thought there would be no better way to do it, then by honoring my Dad and a disease that has taken so much from him and my family. I know Parkinson’s affects everyone differently, but it has made daily life activities very challenging for my Dad. Watching the disease consume him has been extremely difficult on the whole family. I am running to show my Dad that I love him and support him. I am running to show my Dad that he is not alone on his journey. My Dad is a retired MTA Police Officer and has always taught me to work hard and chase my dreams as difficult as they may be. He has taught me to never give up, no matter the obstacles I face and to always aim for the stars. I am running to remind my Dad of these lessons and to never give up on himself as he continues to fight against this terrible disease. Thank you for supporting me. Let’s run 26.2!! #TeamAndy
