Running is a huge part of my life. Over the past five years, I have really enjoyed seeing the world through the miles and my partner Emily has been supportive of me throughout all of those runs. Now I have the opportunity to honor a very important person in our life: Emily's superstar grandma Carol. In 2004, Carol was diagnosed with Parkinson's and for the last 20 years, Carol has been thriving regardless. I am running to raise money for the Parkinson's Foundation so that others like Carol can benefit from the research needed to find a cure. If you know Carol, you know she loves her hometown of New York City, so this November I will be running through all five boroughs during the NYC Marathon in Carol's honor. Donating even $5 makes a huge difference and supports folks like Carol everywhere.
I'm ready to run for Carol!
The Parkinson's Foundation makes life better for people living with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. Studies show that 2.5 hours of weekly exercise along with medication, can significantly improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson's. We run and will continue to run for people with Parkinson's because this disease not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Every dollar counts, thank you for your support!
