I'm running for my little brother, Roger, who has so bravely battled with YOPD since his diagnosis in 2015 at 21 years old.
Since my brother was diagnosed, my family’s entire life has revolved around researching and learning treatments, therapies, medications and trials that promise better management and possible cures for PD. We have learned that the greatest medicine for Parkinson’s is exercise. Exercise can significantly enhance quality of life for people living with Parkinson's by improving balance, mobility, flexibility, mood and even cognition. I am challenging myself to train for and run my first marathon to keep my brother motivated and inspired to stay physically active. I hope to bring attention to a disease that is extremely challenging and misunderstood.
Every dollar counts, thank you for your support!
