I run for my brother.
Join me as I lace up for the TCS NYC Marathon this November to support the Parkinson’s Foundation—a cause very close to my heart.
At just 25 years old, my younger brother was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s disease, a journey that has profoundly impacted our family.
As the disease progressed, it turned our world upside down, altered our lives and required DBS for Roger, a necessary brain surgery to alleviate his symptoms. Although treatments for Parkinson's have significantly advanced, they cannot yet halt or slow its progression. Our incredible doctors at NYU Langone are tirelessly running their own race working tirelessly against Parkinson’s disease.
Every stride I take in this marathon symbolizes a step closer to breakthroughs in research, treatments, and ultimately, a cure for Parkinson’s disease. The Parkinson’s Foundation dedicates its efforts to funding this vital research and providing support that can lead to better treatments. By supporting my run, you're not just cheering me on; you're helping to fund the critical research needed to combat Parkinson's disease.
The Parkinson's Foundation makes life better for people living with Parkinson's disease by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. We run and will continue to run for people with Parkinson's because this disease not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Every dollar counts, thank you for your support!
