I'm getting ready to run!
I'm running the Marine Corps Marathon in VA and DC on October 27, 2024. This is almost exactly two years to the date when I had Achilles tendon surgery. I'm feeling great now, just starting marathon training - so fingers crossed all will go well!
I'm running for the Parkinson's Foundation, which does amazing work to improve care for people living with Parkinson's and to advance research towards a cure.
As many of you may know, my ex-wife and Liam's mom, Marcia, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease about 18 months ago. While it was a tough diagnosis for her, Marcia has been using the resources of the Parkinson's Foundation to learn more about the disease. In particular, she is focusing on strategies to take care of herself through diet, exercise, connections with the Parkinson's community, and a positive mental attitude.
In addition, the Parkinson's Foundation has resources for friends and family. This will allow Liam to learn more about what his mom is going through and how he can support her.
Please support the work of this great organization through a donation to my running the Marine Corps Marathon for the Parkinson's Foundation.
Thank you!
