LODGING:
There are many lodging options available depending on your needs. Many of our athletes have good luck finding AirBnBs or other short-term rentals. The race organizers may have setup some special group discounts which you can find at the link below, though we recomend doing your own research as you may find better deals yourself. We as the Parkinson's Champions team no longer setup hotel block deals as we found that the discounts were not significant enough to make this worthwhile.
It is up to you where you want to stay if you are not local. Some people prefer to be close to the start-line for simple morning logistics, while others prefer to be near the finish-line so they can hit that post-race shower ASAP. TEAM CELEBRATION PARTY:
Please join us for a fun Team Celebration Party on Saturday 3/15 at Yard House from 12-1:30pm (or so), located just a few minutes from the expo at 575 7th Ave, New York, NY 10018
- Enjoy tasty food and drink (paid for by the Parkinson’s Foundation) while getting a chance to meet other team members in person and celebrate your incredible successes!
- You are absolutely welcome to bring a guest (or even a few).
- Hosted by the incredible Jill McClure!
PARKINSON’S CHAMPIONS CHEER OPTIONS:
This year we will be hosting our Race-Day Cheer Spot between miles 10-11 at the edge of Bryant Park right near Breads Bakery at 1080 - 1090 6th Ave, New York, NY 10036
- Anyone who signs us as part of our official Parkinson’s Champions Cheer Team will receive a direct invitation to our Celebration Party as well as updates about our official Cheer Spot, and access to race-day cheer supplies!
- Our cheer volunteers will plan to be at the spot from around 8:30am (earliest we expect runners could pass by) until around 11:30am/12pm
