Welcome to My Personal Page
I am participating in Moving Day San Antonio, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation.
Diagnosed at age 38 (22 years ago) with young onset Parkinson's disease and paroxysmal dystonia, I long ago discovered the value and importance exercise and movement has for anyone with Parkinson's. This journey has enhanced my life in so many ways. The friends I have met on this journey include four amazing ladies; together, we decided to form our own team to complete the Parkinson’s Foundation San Antonio Moving Day 5K together. We are so grateful that our team, Team Sloth (“We may be slow but we are persistent”) has added more wonderful friends to walk with us. We walk to support our local Parkinson’s community and to show everyone that “Movement is Medicine”. I believe movement is the most important thing one can do to slow the progression of Parkinson’s Disease. I am grateful for any support you may be willing to contribute toward my fundraising goal!
Did you know that someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease every 9 minutes in the United States? No one should have to face Parkinson’s alone. That is why the Parkinson's Foundation provides a community of support to give people the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson’s.
Support our mission to help every person diagnosed with Parkinson's live their best possible life now. Your gift will help us fund better research, better treatment and better lives.
