Welcome to Rick's Personal Page
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2019. I have been working with a Neurologist/Movement Disorder Specialist on a drug plan to help mitigate the progression of the disease and I work out twice weekly with the Rocksteady Boxing Program in Mt. Kisco to try and maintain my conditioning and lessen the physical symptoms. At this point, I've been fairly successful in minimizing the impact of PD.
Recently, I have also been accepted into the PD GENEration Study funded by the Parkinson's Foundation. I will be contributing my genetic testing results to this nationwide study which may help to accelerate scientific research to improve understanding of PD and potentially identify new and/or better treatment options.
This year, our Shake Rattle and Roll team will once again be participating in the Moving Day Virtual Walk fundraiser on May 22. Funds collected from this national event will directly benefit the Parkinson's Foundation. Every person on our team has a family member who has been diagnosed with PD.
Please consider being a part of our team by making a donation in our name to this worthwhile organization.
Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson's Foundation.
