Welcome to My Personal Page

PARKINSON'S DISEASE has become REAL to me . . . I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in November and have decided to create a team to join this walk . . . this PD Moving Day Event, which will be held at Charleston Southern University (my old Alma Mater, when it was still Baptist College!) on Saturday, April 9th. This is a great opportunity to get outside and join others to help support the Parkinson's Foundation. I am NOT going to let Parkinson's define WHO I AM . . . I AM STILL ME!!! Yes, I may shake/tremble, may stumble and fall, or may not be able to find the right words to say at times, but I am OK! Life may not always be easy, but I have a life to live and I plan on living it!!!
I would love to have you join me and my Team in this walk benefiting PD . . . and even if you live a little too far away or just can't make it, you can still participate virtually if you'd like. And if you can't participate in the walk, I would really appreciate it if you would consider sponsoring me and donating to this cause. I know Michael J Fox has made great strides with PD and I will come no where close to what he has done, but I can do my part . . . please do your part, too!
I have joined the fight to beat Parkinson's by participating in Moving Day Charleston, SC, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation. Did you know that someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every 9 minutes in the United States? No one should have to face Parkinson's alone. That is why the Parkinson's Foundation provides a community of support to give people the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson's.
Please make a donation today! Your gift will support the Parkinson's Foundation mission to improve care and advance research toward a cure.
Thank you for joining the fight against Parkinson's!
