Welcome to My Personal Page

Hi All-
Once again I have joined the fight to beat Parkinson's by participating in Moving Day San Francisco, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation. Did you know that someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every 9 minutes in the United States? No one should have to face Parkinson's alone. That is why the Parkinson's Foundation provides a community of support to give people the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson's. The Parkinson's Foundation provided a lot of support for my Dad as he progressed through this nasty disease and provided additional help for Mom as his caregiver. Resources continue to be updated and improved for patients and caregivers funded by events like The Moving Day walks.
This year marks 6 years since Dad passed away and I always remember the last thing he said to me, "Pray for me." I told him I always did. That night he passed away I remember thinking that he had finally been released from this awful Parkinson's Disease. We spoke of imagining him walking and laughing freely. It was a nice vision. That is why I continue to participate with the Parkinson's Foundation. Dad had asked that we support the cause so that others didn't have to suffer the way that he did.
This year I am again part of the Moving Day Walk San Francisco and San Jose organizing committee. I am the coordinator for the Friends and Family Teams. We already have over 18 teams signed up, which is great but is just a start. The event will be live this year for the first time in 3 years, so we are all looking forward to that.
Please make a donation today! Any donation, big or small will bring us closer to a cure or help caregivers support those suffering with Parkinson's. Your gift will support the Parkinson's Foundation mission to improve care and advance research toward a cure.
Thank you for joining the fight against Parkinson's!
MJ
