Welcome to My Personal Page
Friends & Family:
I am once again participating in the Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day, which is on April 23rd, 2022. This national event not only raises money for expert care and research for a cure, but it also raises awareness about the disease by expanding the public’s understanding of Parkinson’s. Furthermore, Moving Day gives hope to those currently affected with the disease by offering methods of movement such as yoga, boxing, dancing, and so much more that can help improve their quality of life. It's not just about the walk--it's a celebration of movement.
I participate in Moving Day because Parkinson’s has personally affected my life in a most profound way. My second youngest brother has been afflicted with the disease for 20 years. He’s lost his ability to work, move, walk, speak, or think normally. There have been times when he must choose between speaking and breathing. Ultimately, the disease could make it impossible for him to swallow, and he would die. I’ve watched my brother’s image reduced over the years to a shadow of the person he once was. Yet, he maintains a most inspiring positive outlook on his life. He’s forever grateful for everything he has. He loves life. He humbles me.
By sponsoring me, your donations will help find a cure, but also fund research for treatments that alleviate the punishing symptoms of Parkinson’s that people like my brother endure every hour of the day. Please join me in making a huge difference in the lives of so many afflicted with Parkinson’s. It will mean the world to those touched by the disease, and it will mean the world to my brother and me. Let’s join brother Erik in being around for the cure!
Warm regards,
Greg Polchow
