Welcome to My Personal Page

There are some years in our lives where everything goes topsy-turvy. 2021 was that year for me. After 72 great years of good health, in April of ’21 I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. It was a shock and the first four months were pretty hard getting used to the meds and just the reality of having a serious illness. I found a group of lovely women with Parkinson’s who welcomed me and provided much support and friendship. I also found Rock Steady Boxing through them. Ever used boxing gloves on a hanging bag? It’s great exercise and fun, too.
This year I will join the Rock Steady Boxing Team and participate in the Moving Day New Hampshire annual fund raiser benefiting the Parkinson’s Foundation on May 14th in Concord, NH. Your gift will support the Parkinson’s Foundation mission to improve care and advance research toward a cure. Please consider a gift to support the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Oh, you say! I thought you had Follicular Lymphoma? Well, yes, as I said this past year was rather topsy-turvy. I was diagnosed on December 23rd with cancer and have been preparing for treatment or in treament ever since. I’m now half way through my chemo and immunotherapy regime and look forward to a long term remission. The Prouty, the Norris Cotton Cancer Center signature fund raiser, is this summer. I will participate in that fund raiser, too. Stay tuned…
