Meir Segal's Moving Day Boston 2023 Fundraising Page

Dear friends and family,
On Saturday, Oct 7th, I'll be walking in the 2023 Moving Day Boston Walk to raise money for the national Parkinson’s Foundation. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2016 and, despite the occasional frustration when my body just doesn't want to do what I want it to, I've been able to continue living a pretty normal life. I was fortunate to discover the Rock Steady Boxing program a few years back and couldn't have been luckier finding Cheryl and Max and their boxing gym in Dover. I've also been fortunate to get tremendous love and support from my wife Anne-Marie and daughter Kathleen. Anne-Marie loves to walk and Kathleen loves to box. Together with my family and friends from the gym, we formed our team, the Dover City Knockouts.
This will be our 6th year of Moving Day Boston. We’ll be raising awareness about Parkinson’s Disease and celebrating the importance of movement in all of our lives. The Parkinson’s Foundation uses funds raised from Moving Day events to deliver quality care to more than 100,000 people living with Parkinson’s and to fund cutting-edge research aimed at delivering better treatment and to one day find a cure.
I hope to raise $5,000 to push our team over the top of our $10,000 goal. I know we'll make it! Please consider sponsoring me - it’s a great cause!
