Welcome to My Personal Page
In 2021, the year of our 50th wedding anniversary, my wife, Jutta, was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. We had no idea how much our lives would change.
Pre-diagnosis and by luck, Jutta met Jennifer Campbell, a fellow Boulders Club member and active Parkinson's Foundation member. Hearing of Jutta's diagnosis, Jennifer invited us to the 2022 Phoenix Moving Day, which we attended. Post diagnosis and before that event, we were a "ship without a rudder." At the 2022 Moving Day event, we were overwhelmed by the number of our supportive neighbors in attendance and their generous donations. Additionally, we became aware of the research and program funding that the Parkinson's Foundation provides and, as importantly, the educational and support resources they make available to patients and their care partners.
Shortly after the 2022 Moving Day, Jutta and I began attending PD Foundation-supported groups and events. We use their educational resources frequently, and I am active in the Parkinson's Foundation, having recently joined the Advisory Board of the Southwest Chapter. Jutta and I also joined Jennifer's North Scottsdale Movers and Shakers team to aid in the team's awareness and fundraising efforts.
Did you know that someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every 6 minutes in the United States? No one should have to face Parkinson's alone.
Please make a donation today! Your gift will support the Parkinson's Foundation mission to improve care and advance research toward a cure.
Thank you for joining the fight against Parkinson's!
