Welcome to My Personal Page
As a person living with Parkinson's Disease in the Greater Richmond area and a member of the People with Parkinson's Advisory Council of the Parkinson's Foundation, a council of 15 members from across the U.S. and Canada, I am chairing this important event to move those of us living in Central Virginia to join with others to do whatever it takes to beat Parkinson's.
Moving Day is a movement for change - towards more awareness, more funding, and more understanding of a disease that affects so many of our family, friends and neighbors. Funds raised through Moving Day support the Parkinson Foundation's Mission to deliver quality care to people living with Parkinson's, fund cutting edge research, and provide free resources and local services for people living with Parkinson's and their families. I have seen firsthand how programs like LiftPD (LiftPD.com) who have received a Community Grant from the Parkinson's Foundation have been able to make a difference in lives of Parkinson's patients and their caregivers.
Participating in Moving Day isn't just about supporting the life-changing work of the Parkinson's Foundation; it is about offering hope to everyone affected by the disease.
Thank you for your support!
