Welcome to My Personal Page
Dear Family and Friends,
I've been living with Parkinson's for 4 years now and I'm stepping up my game to raise awareness and funds for the Parkinson's Foundation. In my efforts to do so, I decided to channel my creativity and have been beading bracelets which I am selling at several local stores in Carrboro/Chapel Hill. You can find them at: The NC Craft Gallery, Sofia's, My Muses Card Shop, and the New Crazy Allan's Emporium. All the proceeds will be donated to the Parkinson's Foundation.
If Parkinson's was easy to live with I wouldn't be doing everything I'm doing. I'm still working as a volunteer on the Moving Day Planning Committee. I have also gotten involved with a hiking group for people with Parkinson's, called Pass to Pass. Parkinson's remains the fastest growing neurological disorder in the world and I remain motivated to make a difference where I can.
There are lots of organizations working on behalf of people with Parkinson's, but the Parkinson's Foundation is the only organization right here in my community where I can connect with people face to face. When you're living with a progressive disease, connection and community matter. I am humbly asking for your support as I hold hope for better treatments and an end to this disabling disease.
With a grateful heart I thank you,
Kathleen
