We are walking in memory of loved ones, my mother, grandmother and uncle who came from Macedonia, Greece. My mother’s first name “Tarpa,” means to survive and that she did as she dealt with Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s is the 2nd fastest growing neurological disease after Alzheimer’s. “Moving Day” is a walk/event for the Parkinson’s Foundation/NY. It brings awareness, supports programs and provides critical research to help people live their best lives!
