Kent Donley is participating in Moving Day Kansas City, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation.
After being diagnosed with PD in 2014, Kent reached out to the local Parkinson’s Foundation Chapter in Kansas City. The board president at the time, Jan Parkinson, told him not to be discouraged and that he still had a lot of life to live.
He began seeing a Movement Disorder Specialist in 2015 and began participating in the Moving Day Walk in 2016, which has become a rallying point for Edward Jones employees each year to support Kent and raise money for Parkinson’s.
Each year, the Edward Jones team has raised between $50,000 - $95,000, on behalf of Kent, quickly becoming one of the top teams not only locally but nationally. Over the past 5 years, Edward Jones has raised $380,000 total for the Parkinson’s Foundation. These funds help support free PD resources such as the helpline, the newly diagnosed program, and research initiatives which are all very important to Kent.
Kent is moved by the support that all of the Edward Jones employees and community have given him over the years saying that they never turn down the opportunity to help or donate on his behalf.
Please consider joining his team or donating to Kent so he can reach his goal for 2021.
