Moving Day Chicago

Team Schultz

Welcome to Team Schultz's Moving Day® Page!

Our team is moving in honor of Brian Schultz and to help support his fight against Parkinson's. Brian is a dedicated, hard-working, and loving father, friend, teacher, coach, mentor, and much more to those around him. Since being diagnosed over 10 years ago, Brian's friends and family have helped support his journey by moving and donating to raise both money and awareness for Parkinson's research.

Since Parkinson's is a disorder of the centeral nervous system, it can affect movement, balance, speech, sleep, and much more. Although Parkinson's cannot be cured, there are several treatments that can help and physical activity has been proven to slow the progression and severity of symptoms. Therefore, exercise, movement, and overall wellness can greatly benefit those with Parkinson's, which is why we are choosing to participate in this event.

In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of Parkinson’s disease (PD) are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD. We are not only walking to support Brian, but we are walking to support all those whose llives have been impacted by Parkinson's. Our goal is to raise awareness and money that will go towards medical research and treatments to hopefully help find a cure for Parkinson's.

Join our team for the local Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day walk, the first nationwide grassroots campaign that spotlights the disease on a national level and gives the chance to raise awareness and funds in our own community. Your support will help us continue improving the quality of care for those living with Parkinson’s disease.

Thank you for supporting Brian, our team, and the vital work of the Parkinson’s Foundation!
