THE MOORE MOVEMENT is back in action for the 5th year to raise awareness and fundraise for the Parkinson's Foundation!

Why? You ask. Well, the Parkinson's Foundation is such an excellent resource for the Parkinson's community. They offer so many FREE educational resources to support patients, families, caregivers, and loved ones along the journey of Parkinson's disease. Please join me in promoting the mission of the Parkinson's Foundation and the fight against PD.

Your support is crucial in helping the Parkinson’s Foundation fulfill its commitment to finding a cure and enhancing the quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s today.

THE MOORE MOVEMENT was established in 2020 in honor of an amazing man, Bill Moore. He was diagnosed with PD in 2015, but he was probably experiencing Parkinson's symptoms at least a year before this diagnosis. For Bill, it began as difficulty getting up, slowness of movement, and shuffling his feet. Over time, his symptoms grew to include rigidity in the muscles of his arms and legs. He became anxious about what was happening. He had freezing of gait episodes and postural instability. He became less and less able to do things that he enjoyed. The disease fluctuated in terms of how it impacted his movement, behavior, emotional state, and thinking abilities over the next several years. Nonetheless, he persisted in his fight against the disease and did all that he could to manage his symptoms. He fought tirelessly against PD for nearly 10 years until he lost his battle in January 2024. THE MOORE MOVEMENT aims to honor his memory by moving forward and supporting the vital work of the Parkinson's Foundation.
