Since my Parkinson's diagnosis in May of 2013, I have participated in an amazing fundraising event for Parkinson's disease known as Moving Day. As many of you know, two years ago was the very first time I had ever reached out to any of you to sponsor me, join my team, or ask you to come and walk with me. I set my goal at $5,000. Because of your generosity, I surpassed it raising nearly $5,500! In addition, so many of you came to walk with me! I was over overwhelmed!

Last year my goal was $10,000, and once again you all showed your support. I raised close to $7,500! I was speechless! (a rarity for me).

Now here we are...2020...another year, another walk...But this year will be different! Moving Day Rochester has gone virtual! And while it is not what the Foundation wanted for Moving Day 2020, their number one priority is to make sure everyone stays safe. Beginning at 10am on Saturday September 26th, a video will lauch via the Parkinson's website and Facebook. It will showcase the opening event, personal stories, and movement exercises. My team hopes to meet at a local park that morning to do a social distancing walk together. I hope you can join us!

And even though so many things will be different this year, one thing remains the same: the need to raise money for the Parkinson's Foundation to support their mission to help every person diagnosed with Parkinson's live their best possible life by funding better research and better treatment.

So with that end in mind, I have set my goal at $7,500.
