Welcome to My Personal Page
As with so many events/activities, COVID-19 has changed Moving Day, Chicago, the annual fundraiser I've participated in for Parkinson’s Disease. This will be a virtual event on October 24. So, you could join the team!
I have participated with my family supporting my nephew Todd for 8 years. To read his story, click on ' Visit T2 (Todd's Team) Page box on right.
He, personally, has been fortunate to work (from home) during this pandemic, and has maintained health insurance. There are so many affected who have not. While medication helps all people with PD, this can be prohibitively expensive.
As someone is diagnosed with PD every 9 seconds, you may know someone who has been diagnosed this year. The Parkinson's Foundation can be a great resource, if needed.
Moving Day proceeds go to The Parkinson’s Foundation, makes life better for people with PD by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. The Parkinson’s Foundation helps bring quality care to more people with Parkinson’s, further Parkinson’s research, education and outreach initiatives. Visit www.parkinson.org to learn more.
Todd said: "I am hopeful that with your donation more people will get the support and resources they need now, and one day soon we will find a cure."
If you are able to donate this year, please click on the 'Donate to Beverly' button. If you prefer to donate by check, please make it out to The Parkinson's Foundation, send it to me, and I will forward it.
Be safe, Be well,
With Thanks and Gratitude,
